Release: Update 0.2.6 (New map!)
Greetings folks,
I am incredibly excited to announce that finally, a new update for Capsule Wars is available. Along with a new map, there are many bug fixes and gameplay improvements in this update. Take a look at the trailer below and see for yourself:
Release Notes
The Capsule Wars update 0.2.6 is now available for you to download here on Itch.io. Below are the main changes:
New Map
A new map is available for play in the Lobby. The map is called "Warehouse 13" and features a flat low-poly style damaged warehouse. On it, you can find some lore of the Capsule Wars' universe, scattered around the map, and some even hidden behind a new mechanic: Interactables.
Knife Throw Skill
A new skill has been added to the game! Now you can throw a lethal knife at your opponent. Hitting a weak spot will result in a one-shot kill. Super rewarding! The default key for your Knife Throw is "F".
Interactables System
Added to the new map is a new mechanic that adds a lot of possibilities to a match. Warehouse 13 presents them in various ways with different outcomes. Most of the Interactables can be activated by being shot or pressing a new keybind ("C" as default).
Just to give you some examples: You can use them to open and close gates and control the flow of the map; You can turn on industrial fans and push your adversaries, breaking their path. You can even use them to learn more about the game's lore!
This adds so much depth that can be added to future levels.
Explosives System
More additions to the new map are the explosives! Not only explosive barrels, but all kinds of explosives. If you think an object can be one, shoot at it and see it for yourself. Who knows what can happen?

Announcements
I'd like to announce that I have created a Discord server, so you can chat with me, find other people playing the game, and also participate in polls for new features. You can join the server by clicking here.
I'd also like to say that I have set up a bug report form so it is easier and quicker for you to contribute to Capsule Wars. You can report a bug using this form.
And to wrap this post, know that I'll be changing the Milestones set for Capsule Wars, since I'm super excited to continue my work, making it faster to achieve the Steam milestone for the Steam release, with will introduce proper lobbies, that would deal with Capsule War's biggest flaw: The need for port-forwarding and IP sharing when playing on the Internet.
Stay tuned for more.
Cheers,
